Marri Wind Farm has community funding opportunities during the development stage of the project. 

The Marri Wind Farm Community Fund will be open from 11 March to 13 April 2026.

Marri Wind Farm has community funding opportunities during the development stage of the project. 

This funding is available to community groups and organisations within the Dandaragan region.

We’re proud to support local groups making a difference, from not-for-profit to sporting clubs, youth collectives, and arts organisations. Whether you're upgrading equipment or planning a special project, our Community Fund may be able to help. 

We’re here to support the community projects you value.  

The Community Fund will be open from 11 March to 13 April 2026. Eligible applicants can apply during the advertised period. 

Who can apply

The Marri Wind Farm Community Fund considers initiatives that meet the following criteria:

  • run by not-for-profits, community groups, or sporting clubs
  • operate within or directly benefit communities located within 25 km of the Marri Wind Farm boundary
  • are not-for-profit in nature and serve a community purpose

Funding available 

The Community Fund operates with a set budget each round. This round, $30,000 is available for community to apply for. 

What we fund

We’re looking for initiatives that:

  • encourage community participation and local engagement
  • create lasting benefits beyond the grant period
  • are sustainable and not reliant on ongoing sponsorship
  • provide direct value to communities near the Marri Wind Farm
  • strengthen the presence of the Marri Wind Farm locally
  • demonstrate good governance, financial transparency, and legal compliance
  • do not negatively impact other community facilities or services

Community Benefit sharing themes

Support for projects/activities which meet the following themes will be considered:

  • Social
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Environment – caring for country
  • Economic participation
  • Employee volunteering 

Applications are accepted online only and only during the designated grant period.
