We’re pleased to share that the Marri Wind Farm project has now received its final primary approval, with the National EPA deciding that the project is a "not controlled action" under the EPBC Act.
The decision means the project can proceed without further assessment under the EPBC Act, provided it is delivered in accordance with conditions outlined in the decision. These conditions relate to how the project is constructed, including limits on clearing and turbine height.
Importantly, this provides greater certainty as we continue to progress Marri Wind Farm towards a Final Investment Decision within months.
Our focus now turns to advancing the remaining commercial, procurement and project readiness activities needed to support a Final Investment Decision.
This reflects years of extensive planning, assessment, engagement and design to ensure the project can be delivered without significant impacts to the environment. Thanks to all involved for their continued support and helping us reach this exciting point of the project.
