Marri Wind Farm takes a step forward

We're excited to share a major milestone. We've submitted our Environmental Referrals for the proposed Marri Wind Farm. Next up, we’ll be lodging a Development Application to keep the momentum going.

These submissions kick off formal assessments by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water, and the Shire of Dandaragan—a crucial step in bringing this project to life.

If approved, Marri Wind Farm will feature up to 82 wind turbines on predominantly cleared agricultural land in WA’s Wheatbelt. That means:

  • enough renewable energy to power around 400,000 WA homes
  • strong support for WA’s renewable energy targets and the path to net zero
  • significant economic benefits for the Wheatbelt region and the state.

Right now, the Environmental Referral is open for public comment from 11–17 November.
